Moroccan club Wydad Casablanca is working around the clock to secure the futures of South African duo Thembinkosi Lorch and Cassius Mailula.

Lorch and Mailula are on loan from Mamelodi Sundowns and Toronto FC, respectively.

Wydad is reportedly keen to make the deals permanent.

According to Moroccan publication Le Site Info, Mohamed Amine Benhachem, the club’s interim coach and sporting director, and technical director Hassan Benabicha have both recommended to the management to finalize these permanent transfers.

Both deals will expire on 30 June, but it would appear, as things stand, that there’ll be an extension. Both players will be part of the travelling party to the United States (US) for the FIFA Club World Cup, starting on 14 June and ending on 13 July.

Mailula boasts a 10-goal contribution at Wydad (three goals and seven assists). He was the club’s Player of the Month for January.

Lorch, who was Wydad’s Player of the Month in March, has scored two goals.
