Zakithi Nene of South Africa is setting the pace in the Men’s 400m this year.

The 27-year-old tops the 400m list in 2025.

Nene registered a personal best (PB) of 43.76s to win the men’s 400m at the Kip Keino Classic in Nairobi, Kenya, over the weekend.

He became the third fastest African man of all time, behind compatriot Wayde van Niekerk (43.03) and Botswana’s Isaac Makwala (43.72).

The 43.76s sees Nene ahead of three Americans for the top 10 times ran this year, before Botswana’s Bayapo Ndori in fifth place.
