Moroccan club Wydad Casablanca has reportedly tabled an offer for Thembinkosi Lorch.

The 31-year-old attacker is currently on loan at Wydad from Sundowns.

While Wydad wants to secure Lorch permanently, they must negotiate with Sundowns as the player remains contracted to the Brazilians.

The Red Castle has offered 5 million Moroccan Dirhams (approximately R9.8 million) for Lorch, but previous reports have suggested Sundowns would be happy with R15-R20 million.

In the meantime, Lorch is looking forward to staying at Wydad.

“I’m very happy to be participating in the (FIFA) Club World Cup, and I’m very happy for the team. We’ll have some great matches against big clubs,” the 31-year-old told FIFA’s official website.

“I support Manchester City, so I’m excited to face them. Manchester City and Juventus are two big teams, so it will be great to play against them, to see their performance, and to learn from them because they play at a high level.”

Wydad will compete in Group G against Manchester City, Juventus and Al Ain when the tournament kicks off next month in the United States (US).

Furthermore, caretaker coach Amine Benhachem will step down after the season, after winning all three matches. Benhachem, who recently took over following Rulani Mokwena’s recent departure, has opted to return to his role as sporting director.
