Bayern Munich are once again Bundesliga champions, and while it’s always been a walk in the park for them in Germany’s top flight, it’s the first-ever trophy for England striker Harry Kane.

Kane’s 24 goals in 29 league appearances have fired Bayern to their 34th Bundesliga title, culminating in Kane being the center of attention after years of being on the receiving end of claims that he carried with him a trophy curse.

Well, Kane was in a party mood on Sunday as he sang amongst his teammates: “We are the champions, my friend, and we will keep on fighting to the end.”

He previously lost six finals: twice with England in UEFA European Championships (2021 and 2024) and three times with Tottenham Hotspur, which included the UEFA Champions League final defeat to Liverpool in 2019, as well as the German Super Cup with Bayern.

This season, however, there was no denying Kane as he ended his trophy drought.

The title is equally important to Bayern mentor Vincent Kompany, who also bags his first trophy with the perennial champions.

“We can take a moment now to enjoy winning the Bundesliga. What an incredible feeling. I want to congratulate the players for their outstanding effort throughout the season. You’ve done this together. You’ve won it as a team,” Kompany, who joined the club last year, is quoted as saying.
