All eyes are now on Libyan club Al Ittihad as they target some big signings in the transfer space.
Out of the blue, Al Ittihad are making some big moves and have set their sights on South African winger, Thembinkosi Lorch.
Lorch, 32, is on the verge of a transfer to Al Ittihad from Moroccan club Wydad Casablanca, who have accepted an undisclosed bid.
The former Orlando Pirates and Mamelodi Sundowns forward has also discussed and agreed to personal terms with Al Ittihad for a reported $75,000 (R1.2 million) per month on a two-and-a-half-year deal.
Lorch’s Wydad teammate, Stephane Aziz Ki, is also on the move to Libya, where he’ll again team up with Lorch.
Al Ittihad have agreed to pay $400,000 (R6.6 million) for the Burkina Faso international, and Wydad have decided the offer is too good to turn down.
Botswana international and former Kaizer Chiefs defender Thatoyayone Ditlhokwe also calls Al Ittihad home following his R15-million transfer last year.
