Nigeria has entered into a significant partnership with the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to equip young Nigerians with advanced digital skills, entrepreneurial training, and access to global innovation networks. This was reported by News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), a partner of TV BRICS.

During a high-level visit to the UAE, Minister of Youth Development Ayodele Olawande met with representatives from the Sharjah Entrepreneurship Centre to outline joint initiatives under the Nigerian Youth Academy (NiYA).

The partnership is set to foster innovation, increase job creation, and promote Nigeria’s integration into the global digital economy. It aims to empower over seven million Nigerian youth.

As part of the collaboration, Nigeria will host a GITEX-powered National Digital Innovation Showcase from 1–4 September 2025. The event will feature 300 top Nigerian startups and provide access to global markets and investors. Meanwhile, NiYA has already enrolled over 210,000 participants and is establishing Greenhouse Centres across all 774 local government areas to expand digital and entrepreneurial training nationwide.

The delegation also held talks with UAE Minister for Artificial Intelligence, Omar Al Olama, focusing on joint programmes in AI education, business process outsourcing, remote work, and startup incubation.
