The younger sister of suspended attorney Charlotte Tibana, Rirhandzu, has reportedly handed herself over to police as investigators widen their probe into an alleged multimillion-rand deceased-estate fraud and money-laundering scheme.

Rirhandzu reportedly surrendered at the Polokwane Police Station on Sunday afternoon, accompanied by her lawyers and representatives of Hlawu Maluleke Attorneys.

She is expected to appear in the Polokwane Magistrates’ Court on Monday, where she is set to apply for bail.

Gauteng police have launched a manhunt for eight unidentified armed men after 17 people were shot and killed at a tavern in Extension 3, Wedela, on the West Rand, on Saturday night.

The shooting happened at about 9.30 pm on September 26 while patrons were drinking inside and outside the tavern.

According to police, the suspects arrived at the tavern and opened fire on patrons outside before entering the premises and continuing to shoot at people inside.

A suspect has been arrested in connection with the murder of a woman whose body was discovered at Mooifontein Cemetery in Tembisa South, Ekurhuleni on Saturday, with police tracing him to Tzaneen, Limpopo, later the same night.
