The Tshwane Metro Police Department (TMPD) is considering suspending Peter Nonyane, aka Greater Gagash Municipality, following his arrest by the Directorate for Priority Crime Investigation, commonly known as the Hawks, on allegations of fraud.
Nonyane, who has built a sizeable social media following under the name “Greater Gagash Municipality”, was arrested by the Hawks in Tshwane on Friday, 14 August 2026.
