Higher Education and Training Minister Buti Manamela has ordered an urgent departmental intervention at the Cape Peninsula University of Technology (CPUT) as the institution remains shut down following an arson attack at its Bellville campus.

South African National Parks (SANParks) has warned visitors to the Kruger National Park against ignoring road closures, removing “no entry” signs or driving through restricted areas, saying such actions are placing tourists, rangers and other staff at risk while putting additional pressure on already stretched resources.
